Sweden

Sweden is a truly wonderful country that we have already explored extensively in the south and central regions, as well as along parts of the coastline. We loved camping by the lakes, waking up with the first rays of sunlight for an early swim, and then spending the day relaxing and fishing. Long hikes through endless forests and evenings around the campfire gave us that special feeling of freedom that Sweden is so well known for.

Compared to the other Nordic countries, Sweden has a very different charm – dominated by vast forests, countless lakes, and quiet landscapes that seem to stretch on forever. It is a paradise for anyone who enjoys being outdoors, whether hiking, canoeing, cycling, or simply immersing themselves in nature.

At the same time, Sweden’s history is everywhere. We were fascinated by the many castles and churches, as well as the Gamla open-air museums, where staff recreate daily life in historical villages with impressive attention to detail. Talking to them gave us insights that went far beyond what you’d learn from information boards.

For us, Sweden combines everything: untouched wilderness, outdoor adventures, and a deep cultural heritage – a dream for both nature lovers and photographers.
